Life Sciences Acquisition Platform & Executive Consultancy

We buy strong family businesses, and build great companies for the long term.

Holden River LLC partners with founders and families in life-sciences manufacturing, distribution, and services to preserve what they have built and steward it for the next generation. Operator-led. Patient. Unhurried by fund timelines.

Operator-led acquisitions and selective executive consulting in life sciences.

Holden River is an acquisition platform and executive consultancy focused on the life-sciences industry — instruments, consumables, diagnostics, and the specialty manufacturing, distribution, and services that support them. We acquire stable, durable businesses where the founder or family is ready for a thoughtful transition, and we operate them for the long term.

Outside of active acquisitions, we work directly with executive teams in the industry on commercial strategy, M&A diligence, post-close integration, and operating-model transformation. Recent engagements include advising on commercial and regulatory strategy for an East Coast life science tech firm; advising on a sale at a 7.2× multiple; and guiding a life-sciences manufacturer to 23% month-over-month sales growth on a new sensor product.

The same lens applies in both modes: build great companies by paying attention to the things great operators care about — people, quality, and customers.

  1. 01

    Long-term hold

No fund clock, no flip. We acquire to operate — not exit. Our timeline is the company's timeline.

  2. 02

    Operator-led

A full-time President on the floor, in the lab, and with the customer — not a deal team flying in for board meetings.

  3. 03

    Stewardship of legacy

We preserve the name, the people, and the place. Family transitions are handled with the dignity the founders earned.

  4. 04

    Patient, aligned capital

Equity from operators and a small group of aligned investors who understand industrial timelines. Conservative leverage. No financing contingency.

He then served as President of the Northeast Region for Vertex Service Partners, a private-equity-backed roll-up, where he led 10 CEOs and 300 employees and grew the Northeast region from $65M to $205M in revenue within a year.
